HOMEOPATHY AND TELEMEDICINE

  • – Taking the homeopathic case history is largely based on the information given by the patient himself and his relatives (about his symptoms, the course of his health problems over time, his laboratory and imaging tests, the conclusions of the medical specialties in the context of which, probably, the incident has already been assessed, etc.). That’s why, Homeopathy can, in many cases, work remotely in a satisfactory way. The doctor-patient communication can be achieved with the help of audio-visual media on the internet (SKYPE, VIBER, etc.). It is a process similar to telemedicine services that are already implemented in our country and abroad.
  • – It is clear that the live assessment of the patient by the doctor takes precedence and therefore remote audio-visual communication only concerns long distant cases or inability to move of the patient or special conditions (e.g., COVID 19 pandemic).
  • – In case of organizing a homeopathic session via telemedicine with the use of audiovisual means of the internet (SKYPE, VIBER, etc.), it is recommended that a test of the connection and the technical means (computer or tablet) should be done before the appointment with the doctor, in order to avoid possible technical problems and malfunctions. It is best to avoid mobile phones due to its insufficient screen size.
  • – Taking a homeopathic history over the phone (without eye contact) has been shown to have a reduced amount of information and very poor results and is therefore not recommended under any circumstances.
  • – It is also clear that taking a homeopathic case history remotely cannot in any case replace the physical examination and medical objective assessment and diagnosis as well as the laboratory and imaging tests that may be needed.
  • – To date, the doctor has followed, through telemedicine, patients in almost the entire Greek territory (mainland and island) and in over fifteen countries abroad (possibility to communicate in Greek, English or Italian).
  • – For any other information or clarification, contact the office of the clinic or the doctor himself.
